Sharon (Minnie) Bidka Urbanek is a partner at the firm. Minnie is known for her tenacity and attention to detail in representing her clients.
Minnie is a native of Wheeling, West Virginia. She graduated magna cum lauda from West Liberty State College with a business degree. She then went on to West Virginia University College of Law where she won the appellate advocacy award. She worked for several years as a paralegal (including time at the U. S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of West Virginia) before going to law school. She began her career as a lawyer at Flaherty, Sensabaugh & Bonasso, a well-respected insurance-defense firm in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Upon moving to Florida, Minnie worked for more than 10 years at Sonneborn, Rutter, Cooney & Klingensmith, focusing her practice in defending hospitals and doctors in negligence cases.
Minnie is admitted to the practice of law in West Virginia (currently inactive) and Florida and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern District of West Virginia, as well as the Southern District of Florida. She is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and has provided free legal services under the County’s Legal Aid Program.
